The TV medium stands out from its rivals because it has the highest penetration and consumption indices. Every day, over 88% of Spaniards over 14 years of age watch TV, followed by the radio medium with a penetration of 55%. The time each viewer spends watching TV is, on average in Spain, 227 minutes a day. In the case of radio, average consumption per person per day is 107 minutes.

Advertising on TVE 1 and 2
After Congress approved the bill on RTVE financing, the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation stopped contracting advertising. This law establishes that, from 1st January 2014, TVE's broadcasts may not contain advertising.
